ARAK

Arak, one of the earliest flavored spirits, is made by infusing anise seeds in grape brandy. Unlike other anise spirits like French pastis and Turkish raki, arak is the simplest in composition, containing only anise seed without additional additives. Despite its global popularity, arak hasn't gained much traction in America, likely due to the polarizing licorice-like flavor associated with anise. However, anise and licorice are botanically distinct, with anise seeds deriving their flavor from anethole, while licorice's sweetness comes from glycyrrhizin. Anethole is also responsible for arak's signature louche effect, turning the spirit cloudy when mixed with water.

THE THREE BROTHERS BATHTUB GIN

The Three Brothers, passionate bartenders, discovered a trove of juniper trees in the mountains and were inspired to create their own gin. After years of experimentation, they launched their first Dry Gin in 2014. Drawing from Prohibition-era bootleggers, they crafted a unique Lebanese Bathtub Gin, made with 22 botanicals, 21 of which are locally sourced. This handcrafted gin is full-bodied, dry, and aromatic, offering a rich, earthy, and floral finish.
