This squeaky dry and strawberrylike rose hails from the warm hillside vineyards that overlook the town of Montpellier in southern France. Salmon-colored and engagingly fresh, Puech-Haut continues the string of fabulous roses from around the world that have graced 2006. Pair it with steam clams, scallops in sesame butter sauce, or crusty French bread and cheese. - Deltasky, November 2006
Clos du Pic – Syrah, Mourvedre and Carignan are fermented and aged separately and fermented in wood to produce a wine that has a peppery nose and a toasted finish that lingers on the palate.
2002 Clos du Pic, an unrefined, unfiltered blend of 80% Syrah, 10% Grenache, and 10% Mourvedre. Its deep ruby/purple color is accompanied by sweet aromas of black fruits, flowers, pepper, and Provencal herbs. Medium to full-bodied, powerful, and potent as well as well-balanced with beautifully integrated wood, tannin, acidity, and alcohol, it should provide plenty of pleasure over the next 7-8 years. - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
